Sound System Install
The Fontainbleau Hotel in Miami is famous for hosting famous musicians, Hollywood celebrities, and other noteable entertainment figures over it's 60+ year history. In 2020, the hotel decided revitalize its sound system and Global got the call.
Designing sound for the Bleau Bar space offered plenty of challenges including a circular room design, high ceilings, tall windows, and marble floors. Altogether, these features look beautiful but create an echo chamber that required specialized attention and sound-design chops to overcome.
The sound system needed to acommodate live sound and DJ performances and so Global installed twelve Kayman-KY102 speakers. These enclosures provided the necessary SPL to create an exciting sound experience on the dancefloor while blending nicely with the architecture. Guests will notice the great sound, but not the speakers.
Speaker Placement & Nuanced Signal Processing Stole the Show
Global's sound designer Nathan Short used proper speaker placement and Ease Focus programming in order to pre-visualize the sound field and predict spilover in the main lobby and guest areas. In doing so, Nathan was able to shape the sound so that it "fell off" in those areas ensuring that the party areas had plenty of punch and the sound didn't intrude on guests' experiences in other areas of the hotel.
