AV & IT Integration
When boutique fitness brand P.Volve opened its doors in the fall of 2019 it was committed to creating a world class experience for its guests. The flasgship workout studio featured choreographed lighting that would change with each workout and instructor, turnkey livestreaming capabilities, an immersive sound system interactive retail video displays, and even a ball pit.
The goal was to design a space that had the flexibility to function as a corporate headquarters, a retail store, a fitness center, and a state-of-the-art livestreming studio all at the same time. Part of the challenge was making all of these systems functional while maintaining a clean, modern aesthetic.
Live Streaming Equipment
In order to capture the studio sessions from various angles, Global installed PTZ cameras on rails that allowed them to move horizontally as well as decend from the ceiling to just inches above the floor. This allowed the production team to capture workouts from a variety of angles and providing isolated shots of nuanced movement. The video and audio signals were routed to a central control room where the studio team captured and broadcast instructional routines.
The sound system was comprised of DAS speakers mounted to, and painted to match the ceiling. Touchscreeen controls were installed in the walls and a mixing board allowed trainers to balance music and microphone volumes. A laptop was setup in the main studio that allowed all the trainers to link their spotify playlists. This allowed for consistent sound quality and music volume throughout various classes.
Retail Digital Signage
The main retail space featured three 75" 4K monitors that played content from connected Brightsign devices. These devices allow the staff to dynamically change the content on the screens to coincide with class schedules, retail promotions, holidays and more via web browser from anywhere in the world.
