We Belong Here Festival
The team from Global AV Group travelled to Virginia Key Beach near Miami, Florida in February 2022 to provide full scale production of the "We Belong Here" festival, a"reimagined music festival experience for the sophisticated fan of dance music". Global's scope included event design, vendor management, staging, custom lighting, sound system provision, and tech support.
Through this massive effort, Global AV Group transformed an empty massive outdoor space into a show stopping intimate festival. From the planning phase, Global's reliability, spirit of partnership and relentless dedication to a flawles production gained the client's trust and helped to create a most incredible experience for all.
The festival took place oceanside and showcased the DJ performances on Global's unique 360-degree stage. At the center of the round stage, was a double-sided performance platform that allowed the attendees to roam freely throughout the grounds while keeping a close eye on the performances. The unique set design democratized the viewing experience because it gave every guest a great view no matter their ticket status.
We Belong Here
In February, 2022, Global AV Group produced the Miami installment of the We Belong Here Festival in Historic Virginia Key Beach.
From the beginning, Global AV Group was challenged to design an environment that felt intimate even though the event was to take place on an outdoor beach with over 6,000 guests in attendance. Along with the circular stage, Global provided six elevated VIP areas around the outer perimeter. These areas allowed VIP guests to step back from the general crowd while still feeling included and connected to the energy of the party.
Lighting played a huge role in generating an intimate atomosphere. To pull off the look, Global designed a lighting rig featuring the latest outdoor-rated fixtures from Ayrton and Chauvet. These fixtures were purpose-built for performing reliably and delivering specatcular results even in harsh weather environments like those you'll find on the beaches of South Florida.
Sound emanated in all directions from Global's CODA Audio sound system. The flown arrays ensured that every corner of the beachfront performance space sounded as dialed-in as any top-tier nightclub. From the dance floor to the six elevated VIP mobile stages Global provided to serve as VIP lounges; the sound was clean, rich, and powerful.
The Tulum decor, complete with florals and lanterns spanning the massive main-stage truss structure featured runs over 100’ long that hung almost low enough that guests could touch the flowers. This served to create a more intimate atmosphere grounding the open vast sky.
